Parametric Product Design
Physical objects defined by code. From furniture to instrumentation, every part is governed by a parametric model that can be tuned in real time.
→VECTOR is a studio for spatial design. We design physical products, digital interfaces, and the computational systems that connect them — from first parametric sketch to manufactured part.
Every physical object is a statement about math. We write the math first.
Most design studios start with a mood board. We start with a parametric model — a system of constraints and relationships that can be tuned, iterated, and stress-tested before a single prototype is machined.
The result is a design process that moves six times faster than traditional workflows, produces more consistent results, and lets us ship products we would never have reached through pure intuition.
We work across three scales — the object, the interface that controls it, and the system that manufactures it. All three are built from the same underlying model.

→The digital layer that controls, monitors, or visualizes the physical product. Built to match the object's logic — not the other way around.
→Direct lines to machining, casting, and additive manufacturing partners. We run the toolpaths and stay on the factory floor through first article.
→New material systems tested against real constraints. We partner with labs to prototype alloys, composites, and finishes before committing to production.
→Finite element analysis, topology optimization, and generative design — run inline, not as an afterthought. The simulation shapes the shape.
→Custom parametric solver driving every shape we produce. Real-time preview at full fidelity.
Inline FEA and thermal analysis. Every part validated before it leaves the model.
Direct CNC and additive toolpath generation. Machine-ready output from the same model.
Measured physical properties for 180+ materials — from aerospace alloys to recycled composites.
This is a live parametric model. It rotates, twists, and morphs in real time.
The shape you see is generated from an icosphere — a subdivided geometric primitive — with per-vertex displacement driven by 3D noise and a scroll-linked twist. Chrome material with fresnel reflection on the GPU.
Move your cursor to orbit the camera. Scroll to see the surface morph from smooth to crystalline as the noise amplitude increases.
Four phases. Every project runs the same pipeline — the only variable is scope.
We define the constraints, materials, and performance targets. The parametric skeleton is built from these inputs — not from mood boards.
Hundreds of variants generated and ranked against your constraints. We narrow to three directions and build high-fidelity models for each.
FEA, thermal, and manufacturability simulation. We build physical prototypes and test them against the digital twin until they match.
Toolpath generation, factory handoff, first article inspection. We stay on the floor until the parts match the model — exactly.
We take on a small number of projects each year. If you're shipping a physical product and want a computational approach to the design process, we'd like to hear about it.
